Utah State Fair was Fair

Okay. For practice I need to deposit some of the functions more firmly in my memory bank. I hope to send a few pictures of our visit to State Fair last afternoon. Fair seems to also describe the quality. Appears to coming more carnival and commercial than exhibits and animals. County Fairs retain much of the old flavor. Perhaps I am too judgemental. Most interesting was sit on the sidelines and people-watch. I did take shots of a number of "Best in the Category" so you can see how the really creative folks create. As we observed the winners and apparent loosers it was not always readily apparent why one was selected.. I would not be a good judge, I suppose.

I took a number of random pictures.  Notice the two elderlies which may possibly have been the oldest exhibit at the Fair. I have always been interested in the sculpturing of the life-size cows on a "date" in an ice cream parlor. The write-up indicated that 700 pounds of butter was required for the creation. They are in a frosty display area.

  2. Ahh, BBC, yeah, that was my backside in the photo. Sure, I put on a few pounds over the summer. And I like pink. I can't help it. That's who I am.
